who are we building financial tools for?
an early piece on access, trust, and how a product reaches people.
The question that pulled me in
What would it look like to build a financial system around the possibilities of cryptography, decentralised systems, and the internet?
The intersection of finance, technology, and design fascinates me. It offers a chance to think about who a system serves, how people access it, and what makes it resilient.
Learning through the work
In Polygon's founders' office, I handled partner launches with Coinbase Wallet, Flipkart FireDrops, and Grail. It was one way into the question of how a product reaches people.
Later, as a product marketing associate at Socket, I worked on positioning and launch plans for Bungee swaps. Feature launches were run as one funnel: how someone heard about a feature, understood it, and got to use it.
Those experiences offered different ways into the same set of questions. How do we make financial tools easier to access? What creates trust? And how much of the problem is technology, compared with the way a product reaches people?
